Have you ever been in a situation where you have nothing to wear but your closet is fully fitted with clothes?
Well, I have, not once, not twice but uncountable times. Before I started my minimalism journey, my closets were dripping with clothes, shoes, accessories name it, everything was there,  but there were days, many days when I could wake up and literally have nothing to wear. When I took an interest in minimalism, I figured that this was a situation, a bad one, that I had to end. My closets were full, yes, but they were not full with clothes I was proud of. Most items had been handed down by my mom and other collectibles that I had probably bought because they were really cheap and some outfits that were just meant to be worn in a certain occasion that had long passed. After realizing this I decided to clean up my mess and build a wardrobe in such a way that it was all weather, all seasons and very very convenient for my everyday look.
This is how I did it in four easy steps:
Take or get pictures of the kind of wardrobe you want to have. Get an inspiration, celebrities, people you admire, that combination of outfits that make you feel really comfortable.  Get to know your style, it’s the most important thing.
Take the basic essentials. T-shirts, trousers, sweaters, lingerie, shoes, blouses, jackets, scarfs, belts, accessories and group them in stacks of their kind.
Start picking every item that is a feel good item, i.e. that item that you know can complement anything and look good in it and should also make you feel confident and .. you know what am saying. Do this in each pile until you are done.
Take pictures of your clothes and try pairing each with other items and see how many looks you can get
The good thing about a capsule wardrobe is that you end up having lesser stuff that can end up creating a gazillion pairs.
I recommend:
Blousers and drappers-6
Shoes- a couple of nice shoes let’s say 7 pairs
Socks-3 pairs
With this you will have a different look for the next 2 or more months. The numbers may vary with everyone’s definition of minimalism or less or enough. Just make sure that everything compliments your personality.  Looking fabulous doesn’t mean that you have to own a hundreds of clothes, it’s the style and the fashion that really matters.  Don’t just do something because it’s trending, do it because you love it and it compliments you.
